About IVF treatment

IVF combines eggs and sperm in a laboratory and transfers the resulting embryo to the uterus. ICSI, blastocyst culture and embryo freezing improve success for many couples.

One cycle takes about 2–3 weeks in the country. Note that rules on donor gametes and surrogacy differ by country; your coordinator will explain what is permitted.

Who is it for?

Couples who have been unable to conceive, including after failed IUI.

Recovery

Outpatient cycle of about 2–3 weeks; pregnancy test about 2 weeks after transfer.
