About bone marrow transplant (BMT)

A bone marrow transplant replaces diseased marrow with healthy stem cells, either your own (autologous) or a donor’s (allogeneic, including half-matched haploidentical transplants).

It is used for leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, thalassemia and aplastic anemia. Dedicated HEPA-filtered transplant units are essential.

Who is it for?

Patients with blood cancers or blood disorders referred by their hematologist.

Recovery
